Super Simple London Fog

So even though it's currently summer time, sometimes I still enjoy a hot beverage. Since I don't like coffee, I'm pretty much limited to tea or hot chocolate and since tea is generally way easier to make, that's the one that usually wins. I have my favourites, Earl Grey, Peppermint and Apple Cinnamon. Today I'll be sharing a new way to enjoy an old favourite - the London Fog, otherwise known as an Earl Grey Tea Latte. Tim Hortons served these delicious indulgences for a while, why they took them away I will never know (why they take away a lot of good things I'll never know... I'm blaming you Marc Caira *glare*) anyhoo... London Fogs are so simple to make at home, you'll be kicking yourself for ever paying 4$ for one at the coffee shop anyway! Now, a lot of the fancy coffee shops will having a milk steamer, but if you're like me you don't have one but that's ok! you don't need one.

What you'll need:
1 cup (8 oz) boiling water
2 Earl Grey tea bags (I used Twinings)
1/2 cup hot milk
1 tbsp honey (you can also use sugar or sweetener)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract (real or artificial, it doesn't matter)

What to do:
What I did was measured in a glass measuring cup 1/2 cup milk, heated it in the microwave for 1.5 minutes in 30 second increments, and then poured in my boiling water from the kettle to 1 1/2 cups then poured that in my mug that already had my honey, vanilla and 2 tea bags. I let it steep for 3 minutes (you can let it sit for more or less depending on how strong you want it) and then I drank it!

See? That wasn't so hard. Took a total of 5 minutes, using ingredients I already had to make a hot beverage I would have spent 4$ on.
Now run my pretties, run to your kitchens to make this delicious bevvy!

Did you alter this to make it your own? Tell me about it in the comments!
